Annual Periodisation Training Programme


The annual training programme has been split into the various macro and mesocycles in order for the athlete to have a peak in performance in time for the Virgin Active London Marathon. A graph of the volume and intensity plan has been placed in the programme showing the relationship between the two.  Plotted on the annual programme are the screening, evaluation and monitoring dates for the athletes as well as physical and technical sections of each mesocycle.
